What glue do you recommend to use to reattach the prism?

Thanks

When aligning the prism use Blu-Tack to stabilise, then a dab of hot
glue to secure the non-optical surface to the prism cage. Prisms are
often held by grub screws which should be tightened and slackened
with care, and as little as possible, as they give a good guide to the
"correct" position.. Lots of tricks for collimation, but I prefer to
use a print-out of a target grid, and with the good prism fixed,
adjust the loose one until a good single image is obtained. Then Blu-
tak prism in position, check again, then go and have a cup of tea.
then recheck once more, and hot glue in position if all is well. You
need the cup of tea to allow your eyes to relax, otherwise they will
'autocollimate' a poor position which though OK in the short term will
rapidly produce eye-strain. Allow a morning for this, and take your
time- it is worth getting everything spot on.

Or if you know a senior citizen who no longer 'autocollimates', ask him to tell you if it's acceptable. At 77, I can really tell when binos are poorly adjusted.
